The Pastoral Care Ministry focuses on the needs of the congregational family. The Caring Committee and the Hospital Visitation Committee are a part of the Pastoral Ministry. If you have a pastoral emergency, please call (225) 252-0515.
The Caring Committee is a group of Trinity volunteers who take meals to parishioners in need and provides an opportunity for fellowship several times each year. Committee members participate in cooking parties which are organized in order to stock our Caring Committee freezer. If you would like to participate, contact Mary Hoy.
Hospital Visitation Committee
The hospital visitation volunteers visit with parishioners and their families. Following each visit, the volunteer shares with the clergy and Pastoral Care Ministry the immediate needs of the hospitalized patient and their families. For more information, contact Page Silvia.
College Care Committee
The group sends care packages and notes of encouragement to undergraduate parishioners. If you would like your college undergraduate to recieve occasional mailings from this ministry, please contact Jennifer Johnson.
The group meets to stitch together on the first Thursday of each month from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Common Room. The group enjoys fellowship, share project ideas, and motivates each other. During the rest of the month, the group works on their own. The finished shawls are blessed and receive prayers from the congregation at church services. For more information, contact Jennifer Johnson.
