Christian Education & Spiritual Formation
The Christian Education and Spiritual Formation Ministry works with the clergy in developing and promoting Christian education for all age groups. The Ministry assists in recruiting and training Children’s Chapel leaders, with the development and promotion of seasonal adult education programs, supporting spiritually nourishing studies, assisting the Vacation Bible School director with the implementation of the program each summer, and hosting enrichment programs throughout the year.
Adult Christian Formation
Trinity Episcopal Church offeres ways for the adults in the parish to nourish their spiritual souls.
- The World of Words group meets each Sunday afternoon to participate in book studies. For more information on the World of Words group, please email Jennifer Johnson.
- Wednesday nights during the spring, clergy and distinguished guest speakers educate the adults of the congregation on topics ranging from biblical history to current events.
- Every Sunday during the school year, Christian Formation takes place at 10 a.m. in the Common Room. During the summer months, "Coffee with Clergy" is held at the same time and in the same place.
Each Sunday during the school year, school aged children gather in the Day School library during the 9:15 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. services to participate in a “child-centered” chapel service. The adult chapel leader and assistant guide the children through the service by singing worship music, reading the day’s Gospel reading, gleaning the meaning of the lesson, praying the Children's Creed and a student version of the Prayers of the People, and the exchanging of Peace. If you would like to become involved with Children’s Chapel, please contact Kyra Reed
